Through movement feelings are discovered, through writing they are acknowledged and through form they are materialised.

Movement informing language, awareness and expression is how this practice can be summarised. Theo looks for multiple art forms to collaborate, research and experiment with. Rooted in auto ethnography, movement practices and creative expression he works with the collaborator to discover how the embodied experience can be used as a grounding device as well as a source of creative inspiration. The practice intersects academia, art, mental health, disability and spirituality.

I can’t tell you how nourishing Theo’s classes are for the body, mind and soul, particularly after such an emotionally and physically stressful year.

It’s absolutely wild: I leave each session with so much appreciation for movement and an almost psychedelic feeling of awareness.

His instruction is so thoughtful and patient, with with an emphasis on listening to your body and really luxuriating into each moment. I absolutely love it and am so grateful to be his student!

“It was precise and clear and he was really encouraging in getting us to be ourselves”

“There was so much opportunity to be myself and put my own style to it, unlike the other workshops which seemed more technical”

“Very encouraging and inspiring. I would definitely like to do something like this again.”

“He was very clear at teaching and seems like a genuinely lovely person to work with as he seems very relaxed yet has a sense of humour”

“He was really interactive and the class was really interesting in the approach it took. I really liked the bit where we had to imagine we were somewhere else working with our surroundings”

“It helped me be more confident with improvisation”

“I loved the atmosphere and how freeing it made me feel, there were some parts where we'd focus on our body and certain areas which cleared my mind and made me feel more in-tune with myself”

“It was really fun but I still learnt loads.”
